Discussion

As old Ullevi is demolished in October, its home clubs have now moved to Ullevi until their new arena is built. I added that to the article. —The preceding

Gamla Ullevi won't be demolished until after the season's end, so Ullevi is not yet home for any club, and it will certainly not be the home of BK Häcken who will still play at Rambergsvallen. – Elisson Talk 13:27, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we can have fact of home cvlubs now. At Swedish Wikipedia, they are added, and there will be Allsvenskan matches here in September, wich probably would not be if it wasn't a home arena. 81.231.243.48 2 September 2006

Sorry, Ullevi still is not the home arena. Hammarby has played home matches at Råsunda, but that is still not the home arena of Hammarby. Ullevi won't be the home arena for any team until next season, and still, BK Häcken definitely doesn't have Ullevi as home arena. – Elisson Talk 21:15, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We need to fix the true record attendances becuase I've been inside Ullevi and I know for a fact that there is a big poster stating what they are. They are most likely out on the internet too. I know for a fact that under the WC there were over 100,000 people there and during hte EC there were at least 70 thousand. So if someone could find them, I'd be thankful.

Those attendances are not refering to the actual attendance at any given moment but the overall attendance during the entire championship.--83.183.101.240 (talk) 20:04, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The picture of the empty stand says "West stand" but I am rather certain of that the stand is Facing northeast.

New attendance record

Someone who knows how to edit an article must change the attendence record for hockey. The new record is 31 144 set 28 dec 2009 between Frölunda HC and Färjestads BK. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.197.139.139 (talk) 15:36, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Brazilian national team: Pelé and Garrincha first appearence

The 3rd football match to be held in Ullevi Stadium, during World Cup 1958, was Brazil 2-0 Soviet Union, on June 15th. It seems very relevant to mention that Garrincha and Pelé, considered the two main Brazilian players, made their first appearences in a World Cup together in that match (they didn't play the first Brazilian match, a no-no against England). It's not exagerated to say that the association of Brazil with well-played, high-skilled football and the iconic figure of Pelé and Garrincha as top players in football's history (according to Wikipedia, Pelé could be considered "the greatest footballer of all time") had its arising at Ullevi Stadium. After that very match, French journalists called Pelé "the King of Football" for the first time (according to pt.Wikipedia). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marmasel (talkcontribs) 04:25, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA Stadium category

The UEFA stadium category in the infobox should be removed. First of all, the four stars references the old UEFA Stadium categorization system. The 1-5 star system no longer exists, replaced by the current system. Secondly, UEFA does not give a list of stadiums by category. UEFA simply publishes a document describing what conditions a stadium needs to meet in order to fit into a specific category. These conditions include not only seating capacity but also intensity of floodlights the exact size of the press box, and many other intricate technical requirements. It seems very unlikely that all such information would be publicly available. Because of the lack of authoritative reference material such a categorization is not verifiable.Music+mas (talk) 20:46, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Templates

The collection of templates at the bottom of this page is ridiculous.
Just wanted to throw that out there.
