Why Link Deleted

Per Wikipedia EL what info on this webpage is of use to the article of Vai? [1]? I am not sure which criteria in

WP:EL it satisfies. And the editor has been adding it everywhere he goes across wikipedia. If I am incorrect explain and reinsert. But I went to the page and it does not look relevant. Is it a Font for Vai? No. So i dont get it. And already Two website have actually links to the Vai font [[2]] and [Keyman] What does this link do?--Inayity (talk) 21:37, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply

Link to picker?

There is a web-based character picker for Vai at https://r12a.github.io/pickers/vai/ which i think would be useful to add to the External Links section. I'm not allowed to post links to my own apps, but if anyone else reading this thinks that it's useful, please do so. R12a (talk) 09:52, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'd lean towards not adding it because it isn't "relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject" (
WP:ELYES). If Wikipedia had links to every site that was useful, which yours certainly is, it would be buried in links. DRMcCreedy (talk) 15:33, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply

Most Wikipedia pages about writing systems have similar links, including this one (ie. Input tool and Unicode font for using Vai on Windows XP), since they are helpful for people new to the writing system who want to experiment with it. The pickers i produce are particularly useful because you don't need to install keyboards, fonts, etc. and because they allow one to analyse text on this page by copy/pasting it into the picker. I'm only interested in adding the link because i think people will find it useful. I don't need to draw people to my site.R12a (talk) 15:58, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
