• In the Chinese language, the words for "yellow" and "erotic" do not share similar pronunciations. Not for Mandarin, not for any other varieties of Chinese. It is just the Chinese word for "yellow" (黃) itself that means "pornography", similar to the English word "blue" as in "a blue movie", which means "a pornographic movie". --Yejianfei (talk) 14:24, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
