When I was in Wadi Halfa in the end of 2009 I saw they had a university there. To be precise - a branch of the University of Dongola. Civil engineering faculty afair. Titus Atomicus (talk) 03:36, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

300,000 looks like a typing error. Looks impossible for that remote place. German wikipedia gives 15,000 (and they give for other places the census figures). The others copy en:wiki. Whole of Northern state has 600,000. --Kipala 21:10, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was in Wadi Halfa in 2009/10. It is not so remote. This is the main port town on the north. 300,000 seems to be too much but there was a new residential quarter - the town really grows. Titus Atomicus (talk) 03:05, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can I have someone find the correct coordinates for this place? This [1] shows the coordinates given to be on the east side of Lake Nasser, while the dot on the map shows it so be on the west side. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spencer (talk) 00:44, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
