MOS:PUNCT, which says: "Consistent use of the straight apostrophe ( ' ) is recommended, as opposed to the curly apostrophe ( ’ )." 153.205.145.163 (talk) 09:50, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply

MOS:CT here? "'til" is a three-letter preposition, implying lowercase; but it could be understood as short for the five-letter preposition "until," which the MOS says to capitalize. Unless you argue that it's short for "till," which wouldn't be capitalized, though it's not really shorter. And "till" is the version of until/till with the longer etymological history. I'd say, move as requested. Dekimasuよ! 07:26, 3 February 2018 (UTC)¥[reply

  • Oppose: After a bit of off-Wiki searching, it seems that the sources (both "official" and unofficial ones) are mixed. For example, see this cover art and the liner and record labels shown lower on the same page. I think I've found every possible permutation of whether the apostrophe is at the beginning or end, whether the letter "T" is capitalized or not, and whether the "til" ends with one "l" or with two of them. When the sources are mixed, Wikipedia says to use the form that most resembles ordinary English. I believe "'til", rather than "til'" is the typical form in ordinary English. In the "Back to Mono" set

it appears like this.
The record label (opinion) is just a typo and should not be the determining factor. Carptrash (talk) 01:45, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
