There are no references, at all. No critical reception. Nothing. And it claims that it is strictly a parody of the title...that's just not correct. Not going to get into it because I have no sources, but that sentence needs to be taken down, and the user needs to be internet-slapped.

Okay, I'm against this "parody of 'Waiting for Fidel'" nonsense.

The movie's title parodies 'Waiting for Godot', as the page says, NOT this other movie which ALSO parodies the first text.

Unless anyone disagrees, I'd like to remove that paragraph, since it seems more like silly promotion of that than anything else.

Title has referece to MacGufin?

Never seen the movie, but reading the plot makes me think Guffman's name - the name of something everyone wants but is hard to get to - may be a reference to MacGuffin. But, off course, my guesses do not make for good references - it would make for an interesting encyclopaedia... :-) So, maybe someone knows of some (obscure) interview asking about it? - Nabla (talk) 14:40, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
