Birmingham isn't in Warwickshire (anymore?)

Birmingham is not in the modern-day county of Warwickshire. A short section explaining why Warwickshire CCC play most of their games in Birmingham would be appreciated. For example, was Birmingham ever in Warwickshire, or has it simply been adopted as the home ground due to the city's large size? Andrew Oakley (talk) 11:04, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birmingham was historically in Warwickshire. In 1974 the county boundaries were redrawn when the West Midlands county was created. --Jameboy (talk) 21:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
