Xanny (song)Xanny

I feel like this article should just be titled "Xanny" since there's no other article by that name that the "(song)" suffix would distinguish it from and any confusion with the drug could be clarified by the already existing note at the top of the article. Searching "Xanny" already redirects to this article anyway.Gagaluv1 (talk) 17:40, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary disambiguation. This is the only topic with the name "Xanny". Billiekhalidfan (talk) 17:53, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I undid your redirect. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:39, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Cwmhiraeth: seems like someone moved it anyway. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:18, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. Perhaps @JalenFolf: was unaware of the move discussion. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:00, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No consensus was reached and only one person disagreed with the move. Besides, there is no other page with this name, its an unnecessary disambiguation that could easily be cleared up with a note atop the page. Gagaluv1 (talk) 16:43, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Cwmhiraeth:, it may be that @JalenFolf: was cleaning up after Gagaluv1 decided to plough ahead regardless. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:10, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No consensus was reached and only one editor objected so I acted via

Infobox

  • The archive source doesn't work proprely, it keeps loading, on top of that there is no need for it here
  • Why the tracklist? remove it
It's a thing more non-single tracks share. It is an alternative for a chronology—which non-album singles don't have. It may facilitate things for users (to skip through an album's songs), so I suggest letting it stand as it is right now.
Fine then. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:13, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • It was never released as a single, promotional or stande alone track, so the formats "Digital download and streaming" don't apply here as you had to put CD from the album as well and on and so forth

Background and creation

  • Re-title "Background"
  • Artists such as Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Feist and Michael Bublé influenced them during the creation process → how?
  • Mastering and mixing was handled by the studio personnel John Greenham and Rob Kinelski, respectively → Mastering and mixing were handled by John Greenham and Rob Kinelski, respectively

Lyrics and composition

  • The track's title references the Xanax drug, whose use Hannah Rose Ewens of The Guardian felt → I can see where you are coming from, but it needs to be reprashed as it sound like The Guardian writer is using it
  • 54–56 beats per minute → source says 55 + wikilink beats per minute
The source says 54-56; you have to look at the top of the sheet music on the left
  • From the insider source → You should also mention the "distorted bass and staccato drum beats."
The distorted bass is already mentioned, since I say "similarly deformed bass"

 Done

Reception

  • In more negative reviews → In a negative review  Not done; cant be more because it implies the others were already negative which is not true
Whoops, sorry, I did not see that you also removed "more". Done now. Cartoon network freak (talk) 05:36, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • above "My Strange Addiction", "I Love You", "Ilomilo", "Listen Before I Go" and "8" → remove all of this, we get the idea from the previous sentence
  • 4 references in a row make the text very clunky, but I have no clue what to do about it...maybe remove one of the countries?

  • Setlist.fm is not a reliable source (user-generated) and I'm sure you can find a better source than the the youtube one, for instance reference 11 from MTV.
  • MTV International → she was artist push of April it was during that time, in order to celebrate that
  • The song was also included on the setlist of Eilish's When We All Fall Asleep Tour (2019). → find another source to replace setlist.fm

I searched the internet for about 30 minutes, and I could find no source reporting that she performed "Xanny" at Coachella. But she actually performed it, there is footage of it online. Do you know what I could do? Cartoon network freak (talk) 20:21, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Is the footage from her official Youtube channel or related to her label? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:13, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MarioSoulTruthFan: Sadly, no. There is only fan footage of her performance. Cartoon network freak (talk) 05:38, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Then there is nothing to be done, you nedd to remove the information. If in the meantime you find a reliable source, just added it back. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 13:46, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MarioSoulTruthFan: Removed the Coachella info. Additionally, I also removed the "studio personnel" since I initally forgot to. Greets; Cartoon network freak (talk) 14:02, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
