They are original to Disney they are copyright. Someone just posted them but I reverted on copyvio grounds. I don't know the rules on fair use to know if posting the complete lyrics is OK. I'm playing it safe unless someone has more information. -- Stbalbach 01:30, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since the lyrics are a derivative work of Robert Louis Stevenson's Dead Man's Chest and even earlier songs, its doubtful that copyright would apply. If it is different enough for copyright to apply, we could still post an except.Suppafly 15:33, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I posted those lyrics, I'm pretty sure that just stating what the lyrics are isn't classed as copyright infringement. If i'm wrong then thats just stupid, it would mean that anyone who even sings the song without disneys behest would be breaking the law. Well, singing the song in your room or whatever counts as Fair Use - like I said, I'm not sure of the legality of Wikipedia and fair use and lyrics - the other thing is lyrics belong on Wikisource - you might want to check with the folks at Wikisource and see what they say about posting copyright lyrics. -- Stbalbach 14:12, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, the Lyrics are on 1000 pages in the Internet, for example [1], [2] and [3] so don`t be childish, forget about the POSSIBLE Copyright and put them into the page.

Well, it was written by Disney employees for a Disney ride, so... a minor part is a severe understatement. More like a lie. More like "the only part". Perhaps you were thinking of this song?[4]
