Splitting of the article into two--geography article and a political subdivision article

I think that this article should be split or disambiguated into two articles--First is an geographical entry for the whole peninsula (which includes Misamis Occidental of Northern Mindanao)and a political subdivision entry (Region 9, also named Zamboanga Peninsula).

I agree. Zamboanga Peninsula (Region 9) includes part of Basilan island and excludes the province of Misamis Occidental. --Filipinayzd (talk) 15:56, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
