Ram ke Naam

Created by Vanamonde93 (talk). Self nominated at 18:46, 19 December 2014 (UTC).

  • QPQ pending.
  • I could not verify "In the 1980s, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) began a campaign to build a temple dedicated to Rama at the site, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) backing the movement politically." There are reader's comments, but no author's comments I could find.
  • " The video shows a fictional version of an incident at the temple in 1949, when an idol of Rama was placed inside the mosque by unknown individuals. In the VHP's retelling, Rama is shown descending from the sky and miraculously appearing in the mosque, watched by astonished spectators, followed by a leader of the VHP telling the same story." Manushi does not say that. Here seems to be editorializing. It says that "The movie informs viewers through various trick shots about the sudden and miraculous appearance of a divine baby (Ram Lalla) inside the mosque in 1949, claiming his birthplace", which is neutrally put in the second sentence.
  • "The last words belong to kar sevaks who broke through the BJP cordon on October 30, in a hail of stones and sticks, and attempt to justify Godse’s murder of Gandhi." (Manushi) is completely different from what the article says "The film concludes with a clip of people at a BJP rally justifying the murder of Mahatma Gandhi by Nathuram Godse."
  • The "Synopsis" should also have the updated DVD version [1], which has a different ending and notes the events of Dec 1992.
  • I could not find "In the name of Raam" in any reference. The English "In the Name of God" is used.
  • Vanamonde93, Neutrality is an issue. Since this is a controversial article, we need to be extra careful. Please make neccessary changes. Redtigerxyz Talk 05:59, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Redtigerxyz, thanks for the review. My trouble with sourcing is having read relevant sources on related pages too many times, and having them blur together. I will try to address these issues shortly. I think you may be mistaken about a couple of points, though; the phrase about the VHP leader telling the same story is in the source; it simply refers to him as "Mahant Ram sevak" etc. It implies in the next sentence that he is a VHP leader. As to the ending, the "BJP cordon" is a mistake, as far as I am aware; it refers to the cordon on a BJP rally. If you feel that requires a tweak, I'd be happy to oblige. • Redtigerxyz, I believe I have addressed most of your concerns; please let me know if further tweaks are required. Working on the QPQ now. Vanamonde93 (talk) 14:40, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
  • QPQ done. First hook in article and referenced. ALT does not an inline citation, also "by activists of the Vishva Hindu Parishad" is not stated in the article. Copyvio checked. 4306 B. Created on 19 Dec. The concerns about neutrality are addressed. My other comments are good to have, not DYK. --Redtigerxyz Talk 17:17, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
