Close paraphrasing

Vivekananda and meditation

Swami Vivekananda

  • ... that
from his childhood and reportedly meditated for a long time on the day of his death
    too?

Created by Nvvchar (talk), Titodutta (talk). Nominated by Titodutta (talk) at 12:46, 30 September 2013 (UTC).

  • Date, length ok. Hook checks out (albeit the latter part is a bit interpretive as the sentence just before the ref says "This was his last meditation", but from context it is clear what the comment refers to). Good to go. --Soman (talk) 02:51, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
  • This article includes some close paraphrasing – compare for example "defined mediation, first as of negative nature" versus "meditation should be of a negative nature" – and non-neutral phrasing, and is in significant need of copy-editing. Nikkimaria (talk) 17:03, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Despite a ping on the nominator's page over a week ago, no action has been taken aside from a November 12 edit (by Nvvchar, not by Titodutta) that removed the "of negative nature" phrase and fixed a few grammatical issues, but did not effectively address the non-neutral phrasing request or the overall need for a significant copyedit. As this is about eight weeks old now, an extra week's grace seems more than generous. Closing nomination as unsuccessful. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:48, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
