Article is new enough, long enough, adequately sourced. QPQ done, free of close paraphrasing. ALT1 is almost okay, but something needs to be changed: either the hook is changed to say "the Metropolitan Opera" to reflect the article (which would be my preference), or "New York" be added to the article. - ALT1 makes it sound as if the two left the Soviet Union for the West, like many others. The information that in 1975 there was an official exchange of productions between the companies - then a milestone novelty! - seems worthy to be passed to our readers, imho. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- If you think two roles are two many - even if these two are probably the most beloved women characters in Russian opera - we can limit it to one, where she and her husband are the lovers (however both ending dead):
- ALT0a: ... that Tamara Milashkina (pictured) and her husband Vladimir Atlantov from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, appeared with the company at the Metropolitan Opera in 1975 as the lovers in Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame?
- I'm not seeing where ALT1 gives the impression that the two left the Soviet Union? It just says they performed in New York, without giving any impression that they never returned to the Soviet Union, so I'm not sure how anyone could get that interpretation. - I'm not seeing where ALT1 gives the impression that the two left the Soviet Union? - I leave to the promoter to consider that the fact they performed tragic lovers would add interesting to the hook. Also: readers love Tchaikowsky, Swan Lake and such. Why would we mention places and companies, but not music and a dramatic story? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:52, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
