Length and history verified. Text of the Court's decision makes ALT2 preferred—it's still funny but not misleading, as the article establishes that Two Pesos no longer exists. As for the main hook, I'd take it AGF since the source is not online, but frankly it's rather dull; companies buy other companies all the time for large amounts of money. - Thanks for the review! I was just trying to be clever in the original hook -- the premise being that two pesos are worth much less than $22 million. But in general, I agree that there is nothing particularly interesting about one company acquiring another. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 23:03, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

@Notecardforfree: This is entirely up to you, but I think the main hook would be amazing for the April Fools main page, if you're particularly patient. Considering the allowances made for cleverly presented hooks on April Fools, we could even remove the capitals on "Two Pesos" and further confuse things to present a hook such as the below. If you want to do that, let me know. Removing tick until you respond, so this isn't promoted in the meantime. ~ RobTalk 08:07, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

- That sounds great. Thanks for your help! -- Notecardforfree (talk) 15:17, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- I think the original hook is better than alt3, but just needs the "Two Pesos" decapitalized and delinked, as follows:
- ALT4:
... that Taco Cabana bought two pesos for $22 million? Or alternatively: - ALT5: ... that Taco Cabana paid $22 million for two pesos? Gatoclass (talk) 07:18, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Suggested tweak:
- ALT6:
... that Taco Cabana got two pesos for $22 million?
- the idea is to disguise the deception a little better. BU Rob13, any chance you could review the above? Gatoclass (talk) 04:40, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
