Names
In November 2022, the NHS and the US NLM adopted "mpox" and explicitly refer to "monkeypox" as a former name.
As a result, this article and related articles were renamed in March 2023 (See discussions: 1, 2, 3). As of March 2023, the name of the virus responsible for mpox (per the ICTV) remains Monkeypox virus. |
