Disambiguation links

Can someone fix this table so that it disambiguates names of ambiguously named cities and counties? It is currently generating links to the wrong Orange County Sheriff's Department. bd2412 T 15:40, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how many people have used this template, much less are watching this talk page. I modeled it after the {{United States topic}} but I don't think it has an override. Nor have I found a template in Category:Configurable area-topic templates that does. For Georgia, that template just adds " (U.S. state)" to every wikilink, but I don't think that's a very elegant or forward-looking solution. Int21h (talk) 02:05, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Forward-looking in what sense? There will always be other Orange Counties, of equal importance to the one in California. bd2412 T 22:50, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK, so are we just going to add a parameter that will automatically add " (California)" to Orange County links? That will properly disambiguate? Int21h (talk) 23:34, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that is how it is done with Georgia links in the European topics template. bd2412 T 23:56, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the exclude-suffix code from the Orange County line, so it should always now include the state name. We may need to create a few redirects - I'll see if I can track them all down. Bazonka (talk) 19:47, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've redirected
Orange County, California Fire Department. Hopefully that's all of them. Bazonka (talk) 20:15, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply

Excellent. Thank you. Int21h (talk) 17:49, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable departments

Many of the

Non-notable departments. May we deleted some of them? Bearian (talk) 21:47, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply
