@Sportsfan 1234: Can you give a more full explanation for reverting my improvement to this template. The previous version was not detailed enough. And give a better answer than "every other Commonwealth Games template is like this". Djln Djln (talk) 12:30, 18 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Djln: As I can see, user @Sportsfan 1234: made a removal of content similar to Template:Football at the Pan American Games. After I failed in persuading him to restore those contents, I had no option but to open a case at WP:ANEW.

My point is that contents should be restored in both templates, given that the information supressed belong to the main topic (the games), and the templates follow the format of similar competitions such as Template:Football at the Summer Olympics or Template:Field hockey at the Summer Olympics.
