User:Wadaad I came across this page when you claimed Ilhan is Benadiri, even though she claims to be Yemeni, you dont believe her, its fine. The addition of minority ugandans and extinct arla is not necessary to be categorized this way. Include the current ethnic groups only, there shouldnt be minority and extinct groups on the list. Are we going to include the united nation on the page? Magherbin (talk) 01:45, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, There are several thousand Ugandan soldiers in Somalia, they form a demographic group, along with non-soldiers who aid them. Mentioning their important role in Somalia in the 2010s is important. Wadaad (talk) 01:48, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The template is simply about who lives there, not a historical lesson on who use to live there or who is native etc. Remove the indigenous/exogenous label. A couple soldiers in Somalia does not warrant a whole uganda placement in the template. If you insist to include all groups there's no problem but "Somali" is by itself, this makes the template awkward, place it with the rest. Magherbin (talk) 02:02, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the Harla as they are not that relevant anymore, but all the other groups are present in Somalia. The indigenous / exogenous division is there for non-Somalis to understand that the other groups have origins from outside of Somalia. Since Somalia does not have any natural divisions like Kenya and Ethiopia this is the most logical division to make. Wadaad (talk) 02:20, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
