Someone clearly went to considerable trouble to make this, but I really don't think it's necessary. It's too large for a start, and in any case there's already a list article containing all this information. Does anyone else think this is perhaps a little too much? -- Supermorff 21:15, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

July 2006

Apparently not. Okay, well can we please work out which characters we want listed on this template? Do we want only serving Power Rangers (the core teams from each series), or do we include ally characters such as Ninjor or Clare, or even minor characters like Bulk and Skull? -- Supermorff 11:21, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the major ally characters as well as the Rangers themselves should be listed here. The template is named "Power Rangers Characters" for that reason. Ryulong 14:37, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, good. Can we have a consensus? -- Supermorff 14:53, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I've just included links to
Minor Power Rangers characters to the table, so characters such as Dulcea, Dimitria, etc. have links on the table. Ryulong 15:09, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply

Ryulong (and others), I have another suggestion. For the post-Zordon teams (at least for the section of VII-X, and maybe even up to Dino Thunder), it might be a good idea not to write out characters with individual pages for those years. Each of those generations now has a single article for the whole team, which links to appropraite character articles. What do you think of just having links to the team pages in the template, and allowing users to go from team pages to character pages themselves? It might help clear up the template a bit, I don't know. -- Supermorff 10:39, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, after Unclerico89 (it may be another number) made individual pages for each of the Dino Thunder Rangers, that might be a good idea. However, I'm not sure if some of the independent Rangers (the sixth/Other/whatever the hell they're called Rangers) are linked to their core team's articles, like with the huge amount of SPD Rangers (which I might work on giving a central article for as I had for the Ninja Storm Power Rangers). The template was getting really wide with all of the Rangers added to the Disney-era section, so I implimented line breaks (<br>'s) to make it narrower without making the cells any taller. But you do have a good idea. Perhaps I can work on consolidating pages so for the latter years, unless S.P.D. (or SPD) Power Rangers is taken by a redirect. Ryulong 20:17, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Or you could pipe link it, as follows: [[B-Squad Rangers|SPD Power Rangers]]. Or something similar. -- Supermorff 21:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you can now find a page on all of the
B-Squad Rangers. Ryulong 21:21, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply

I believe that there are portions of this which needs to be changed. It either needs to be Saban and Disney or Zordon and Independent. Either way, both don't really need to be used.RangerKing 05:15, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's an arbitrary division that was there when I first found the template, and it works sa little well to keep the arbitrary division and navigation easier. But, something does need to be done to fix this template.—Ryūlóng () 05:38, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you recognize that something needs to be done to fix the template, why would you revert it back to the original state? Despite the reasoning, there needs to be a conscisious about it then.RangerKing 21:01, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What I was saying is that we need a better in-universe arbitrary division.—Ryūlóng () 21:02, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Such as.....?RangerKing 21:06, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. But there has to be one.—Ryūlóng () 21:15, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The most common ways are with Zordon or Saban/Disney. There really aren't any other ways to divide the ranger teams. I don't think that we should do Zordon though because you could easily tie Lost Galaxy, Dino Thunder, and Mystic Force into the Zordon column because of various factors.RangerKing 21:25, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Zordon is because of their powers being linked to him. I think I have an idea that I'll be playing with right now.—Ryūlóng () 22:01, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That idea works.RangerKing 22:09, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now, I just have to figure out how to get rid of the white line.—Ryūlóng () 22:17, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done.—Ryūlóng () 23:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it should go by pre-Countdown to Destruction and post-Countdown to Destruction because that's a definite time. However, the way it is now is fine with me, however Bulk and Skull should be included, being that they lasted longer than any characters, and always had their own storylines. PRJF?

Shouldn't

PRJF be on the template as well? Mack-the-random (talk) 18:06, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply

Not until that series premieres. Mythdon (talk) 04:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
