Reasons for this template

So, you are probably wondering what the purpose of this template is. After all, there are already templates like

Content forking. This should be addressed in the specific article on the religion of the relevent country. With this template one can point out where that article can be found. Also for other general articles on religion, like State religion, this template should be useful. Zara1709 17:03, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply

Continent

I propose dividing this template on the basis of continent, meaning merge "Middle east" into Asia and Africa. The definition of Middle East are not always agreed upon, and there also exists no article "Religion in the Middle East".Bless sins (talk) 19:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Everything you mention is spot on and perhaps worse: dumping other types of regions between the continents depletes the real continents of real countries. Here it maims Africa and Asia. gidonb (talk) 04:02, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. Now organized by continent. gidonb (talk) 11:51, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alphabetically?

Just curious shouldn't the countries in each section be listed alphabetically? -- HlynurT (talk) 15:54, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Should be developed horizontally, for the bottom of article

This seems like a distraction when presented vertically next to a country article. Like "you don't really want to be here, you want to be somewhere else!" Should be constructed more like a navigational template, horizontally, and placed at the bottom of country articles IMO. Student7 (talk) 00:11, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
