History

Tiffin was platted in 1867.^[4] The name was a transfer from Tiffin, Ohio, the former home of Rolla Johnson, who owned the town site.^[5]

Geography

Tiffin is located at 41°42′23″N 91°39′41″W / 41.70639°N 91.66139°W / 41.70639; -91.66139 (41.706432, -91.661471).^[6]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.14 square miles (10.72 km²), of which 4.13 square miles (10.70 km²) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km²) is water.^[7]
