I am a PhD student who is currently working on the synthesis of various natural product derivatives with the potential for pharmacological activity. I am mostly interested in pharmacognosy (and the related fields of phytochemistry and ethnobotany), medicinal chemistry, and heterocyclic organic chemistry. I am actually a biologist who "changed teams", so I'm only really interested in chemistry as it relates to biological processes and drug design.
