Merryn Somerset Webb is the

Saga Magazine and is a radio and television commentator on financial matters. [1]

After gaining a first class

School of Oriental and African Studies. In 1992, she moved to Japan to continue her Japanese studies and to produce business programmes for NHK, Japan's public television station. [1]

In 1993, she became an

SBC Warburg in Tokyo, where she stayed for five years. Returning to the London in 1998, to work for BNP Paribas, she later became a financial writer for The Week. Two years later, in 2000, she took on the role of launch editor for the financial weekly MoneyWeek. [1]

She lives in London, with her husband and daughter. [2]
