I'm Mark H Wilkinson, a comics/SF fan with a background in mathematics, living in the Greater Manchester area (that's in England, folks). I primarily consider myself a Wikipedia user rather than a "full time" contributor. In the past, much of what I've done on the site boiled down to correcting typos and grammatical errors, or occasionally improving style. However, my increasing use of the Doctor Who section has meant I've become more interested in being involved with the content of such articles; and so I deemed it advisable to sign up for an account.

Note on the account name

There's a story about how I acquired the online ID "Digby Tantrum", but it's outside the scope of a

Wikpedia User Page
. All anyone in the community needs to know is that I took it on out of a sense of irony; very little of my online output is written in the spirit of anger. That doesn't preclude people from reading tone that isn't there (one of the perils of communicating in ASCII) but it's something a user might find worth keeping in mind when interacting with me -- I may be being firm at the time, but it doesn't mean I'm shouting at you.

Recent observations

"I have a career pretty similar to your former one. How much do I need to donate to become an administrator?"
