Hello true cricket. It is a family of insects, which is related to bush crickets, and, more distantly, to grasshoppers. Crickets make nice chirping sounds in the evenings.

My first edit was the creation of the article about "
Stats.
" (in this one I created redirect only, not the page content).
Since about five years ago I volunteer to
OTRS
, which may explain my attempt to look after articles which I have not written, and which I didn't read out of my own interest. In the cases where my editing is necessary, I link to the relevant policies in the edit summaries, and in the talk page messages. At present I do not have any conflict of interest with any of the topics which I edit.
At Wikipedia, I follow several principles, which are listed below.
- I don't look at the edit count. Instead, there are other important criteria, such as new editors who decide to stay (not their quantity, but these editors themselves); articles which became improved in quality and accuracy; innovation and new technical tools which make authoring and review easier in the long run.
- I use scripts to assist my work. It is not easy to share my scripts on a wiki. (I don't use proprietary source hosting sites.) Some of my scripts are listed at User:Gryllida/js/, every day I use draft-rater.js and draft-review.js to browse the drafts and assign WikiProjects to them; and reply-link.js to more easily reply to discussions at talk pages. I also find reFill useful to quickly fill cite web templates on new drafts.
- I like fact-check, either in new drafts or in existing articles. I also like to attributeinformation in cases when it comes from a single source, and may be challenged.
- I'm interested in how to make WikiProjects more organized. Perhaps some of them are missing a newsletter with links to recent to-do items, new pages, and discussions?
- I'm aiming at "Win-win" (this page needs improvements!) conflict resolution. If it is not possible, I don't engage.
- There is one important mission in this: making as much information free as reasonably possible, and making every reader and contributor aware of what this encompasses. (This includes translations to smaller foreign language wikis.)
