This list does not include the 40 or so stubs I created for Florida radio stations, nor does it include a dozen "list" articles created by forking information from larger articles. Some of these articles are fairly well referenced, and some of them are virtually unreferenced. A third of them were redlinks, and several more should have been; only a few were less-than-obvious subjects for articles in Wikipedia.

  1. Virginia S. Young, my first attempt at a biography, albeit not a BLP. (She died in 1994.)
  2. Robert A. Dressler, my first BLP.
  3. Andrew DeGraffenreidt These first three articles were all redlinks on Fort Lauderdale, Florida, my first major project.
  4. Florida Heartland An entire region of the state which lacked an article.
  5. Agogo, Ghana Another redlink from Fort Lauderdale, its sister city.
  6. History of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which was created when the main article became too big.
  7. Crater Lake (disambiguation) There are three lakes by this name, as well as a book and the general concept.
  8. Stonewall Library & Archives
I created this when expanding the Fort Lauderdale culture section.
  9. Sebring Regional Airport There was an article on Sebring International Raceway, but not the airport itself.
  10. Dinner Lake A 420 acre lake in Sebring, Florida.
  11. Lakeshore Mall My first AFD nominee, which survived because this smallish mall is the only one in a six-county area.
  12. Transportation in Florida A fork from Florida, this topic needed its own article.
  13. Education in Florida The same as the previous article, both articles were created the same day.
  14. List of Florida state symbols This was modeled after List of Maryland state symbols, a featured list. This list failed its FL candidacy, however. (DYK 22 November 2007)
  15. Episodios Nacionales, my first Babelfish-fueled translation from es.wikipedia; my boyfriend helped me smooth over the rough spots.
  16. Oreochromis aureus, which was a redlink in Restoration of the Everglades. (DYK 3 July 2008)
  17. Duranta erecta, to go along with the photo I took. I was surprised there wasn't an article on this plant. (DYK 13 December 2008)
  18. Seven Sisters (magazines) I was a bit surprised to find a hole here, as even I (one who doesn't read them) was familiar with the term. (DYK 14 October 2009)
  19. Wildflower (Skylark song) This million-selling, often-covered song had no article. I found 11 links to the article within a few minutes. (DYK 13 December 2009)
  20. Silver Spurs Rodeo Florida has an official state rodeo. Who knew? It is apparently a big one by East Coast standards. (DYK 1 June 2011)
