Kendall K Vertes

Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) in 2011 after being selected for the junior elite competition team and soon after became a permanent cast member.[3] For a short time in 2012 (season 2), she left ALDC to dance at Candy Apples Dance Centre due to complications before returning to ALDC permanently. Vertes holds 7 first place individual titles in in various dance competitions and many more for group performances as a part of ALDC. Under the management of Abby Lee Miller, she has appeared in several music videos including Dance Moms co-star Brooke Hyland's song "Summer Love Song" (2012), Mackenzie Ziegler's music video "Its a Girl Party" (2014) and Todrick Hall
's music video for "Freaks Like Me" (2014).

She began her singing career in 2015, releasing her first single "Wear 'Em Out", hitting number 1 on the iTunes Pop chart. She has released two more singles "Out Loud", in 2016, and "Where Would I Be Without You", in 2017. She made her film debut in 2018, appearing as Christy in Trico Tri Happy Halloween.[4] She also played Beatrice in the 2019 movie Anastasia.[5] Her social media presence includes an Instagram account with more than 7 million followers[6], a Twitter account and a YouTube channel with over 1 million subscribers.[7]

Music Videos and Acting

Kendall has appeared in multiple music videos including Dance Moms co-star

Brooke Hyland's song "Summer Love Song", Mackenzie Ziegler's music video "Its a Girl Party" and Todrick Hall's music video for "Freaks Like Me" in which she had singing credits.[3] Vertes debut acting role came in the 2018 with the Halloween film Trico Tri: Happy Halloween in which she plays a ghost called Christie.[13] The film was released on the 28th of September 2018, the film was filmed in Miami and produced by Armando Gutierrez. She also appeared as Beatrice in the live action remake Anastasia: Once Upon A Time which is based off the 1997 film Anastasia.[14] In 2018, she featured in the music video of "Taken" by Mackenzie Sol.[15]

Music

Under her stage name, 'Kendall K', she released her single "Wear Em Out" in 2015 with an accompanying music video.[16] Maddie Ziegler, a fellow Dance Moms cast member, assisted in choreographing the air-force themed video in which Vertes' two older sisters also appeared.[17][18] "Wear Em Out" reached number one on iTunes Pop charts within 24 hours of its release.[19] The Los Angeles based company, Jenga Productions, produced the song with the intention of being part of an album that has yet to be released.[20] She has released a number of other singles including a Christmas EP in 2017 titled K-Mas. Vertes also released a music video for the single Feels Like Christmas. Following a large break, after coming under new management she released a new single and music video "Where Would I Be Without You" staring a few of her fellow Dance Moms stars Kalani Hilker and Nia Soux. The song alludes to thanking her friends and fans for their help in her new found success in the music industry.[21] In June 2018 Kendall released a new song titled "Girl Talk" in collaboration with Mercer Henderson .[22] Prior to this she worked with Henderson in 2017 when she stared in her music video for "Could've Picked Me".[23]

Entrepreneur

In 2017, she collaborated with Target on a clothing campaign titled Art Class[24] She was joined by fellow Dancer Asia Monet Ray and were encouraged to be creative and to appeal to a younger audience.[24] Vertes also collaborated with the phone case brand Velvet Caviar to create a range of customised phone cases. She created 4 different cases with designs including a camouflage print and a pink bandana print with her signature on them.[25] Kendall has also collaborated with the Turnboard, a company that designs speciality turn boards. She designed turn board with a red glitter finish alongside her printed name.[26]

Tours

In December 2017, following a hiatus on

Chloe Lukasiak and Kalani Hilliker began a tour called The Irreplaceable's tour.[27] The tour travelled through North America, Australia and Ireland and consisted of a workshop held by Vertes, Lukasiak and Hilliker in which they taught a class on stretches and dance techniques.[28] VIP ticket holders had the chance to enter the premises 30 minutes prior to the workshop and  partake in a participate in a photo meet and greet with the girls, as well as an opportunity to be the first to purchase any merchandise for the tour.[15]
