Ralph Sutton is an American radio host, podcast producer and entrepreneur. He co-created and co-hosted the nationally syndicated radio program The Tour Bus, a five-hour show focused on party-oriented rock and heavy metal music that was broadcast from 1999 to 2017.
He is the co-founder and co-owner of GaS Digital, a podcast network and streaming platform, and the creator of The SDR Show, which he hosts with comedian Big Jay Oakerson.
Early life and career
Sutton was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has a twin brother named Joey. Sutton attended University at Albany, SUNY, where received his bachelor's degree in 1991.[1] While there, he also trained at the college's radio station.
He later found work as a nightclub and concert promoter, as well as working in the restaurant industry. He also worked as a DJ at New York nightclubs such as Club Mars, MK and
Career
Sutton met fellow DJ Matt Murray at a strip club where Sutton deejayed. Murray helped get Sutton a part-time job at
Sutton and Murray were both fans of 1980s and 1990s party-influenced rock and heavy metal music (bands such as Mötley Crüe, Poison, Bon Jovi and Van Halen) and launched a show focused on the genre on WNNJ in January of 1999. In August of 1999 they moved the show to WDHA-FM in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey and renamed it The Tour Bus. The five-hour show, which featured both live music and interviews, was broadcast on Saturday nights, and became the station's No. 1 rated rock show. By the end of 2000, the show was picked-up by stations in New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida and Missouri. In 2001 it became the first independently produced radio show to be picked up by VH1's Internet radio program, where it was broadcast as a two-hour show. Eventually the five-hour show expanded its reach to over 50 stations. In addition to 1980s and 1990s-era music, the show included newer artists such as American Pearl and Buckcherry. Sutton and Murray co-hosted The Tour Bus for the first three years of its tenure. Sutton would go on to co-host the show with Stacey X and finally Melissa Krahnke, who was with the show from 2012 until the show's end in 2017.

In 2014, Sutton started the The SDR Show (The Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll Show), a podcast that he co-hosts with comedian Big Jay Oakerson. Two years later he co-founded the GaS Digital podcast network with comedian Luis J. Gomez. The network has featured such podcasts as Can't Get Right with with Kurt Metzger, I'm Ova Here Now with Andrew Dice Clay, and Tim Dillon's the Tim Dillon Show.
Sutton co-hosts the health and wellness podcast, Good Sugar along with Marcus Antebi, the founder of Juice Press -- a fast casual restaurant chain featuring organic food and juices.
Personal life
Sutton is six-foot-five in height. He lives in New York City.
