In July 2017, Schmidt and 26-year old Renee Blair were introduced to each other during one of her live shows in Nashville. Schmidt had attended the show with the intention of reaching out to her to discuss a songwriting collaboration. "It was truly love at first sight," Schmidt stated, "I knew from the first time I saw her, I would ask her to marry me one day." Their relationship quickly blossomed and they started dating.^[1]

Blair was born in

St Louis, Missouri. She split her time as a child between her father's cattle farm and city life in St. Louis. Driven by her dreams as a country singer-songwriter, she made the move to Nashville in 2007.^[2]

Flash forward to September 17, 2021. Renee Blair and Jordan Schmidt got engaged in Miramar Beach, Florida on Friday, September 17, 2021. Schmidt surprised his fiancée by gathering close friends and family on a boat to celebrate their engagement.^[1]

Renee Blair and Jordan Mark Schmidt were married on September 24, 2022. The September 26, 2022 issue of

Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay.^[3]

The May 11, 2023 issue of People featured the article, “Renee Blair Is Pregnant! Country Singer Expecting Baby Boy with Husband Jordan Schmidt”[4] The couple welcomed their first child, a boy, on Friday, August 11, 2023. ^[5]
