About Me

Hey everyone. My name is Nick Gintoli, and I'm currently a freshmen at Georgia Southern University located in South-Eastern Georgia . Georgia Southern is medium sized Universisty with about 20,000 students. It is also known for being a huge party school and living here as a freshmen for only a few months I completely agree. It makes it tough to attend all classes but it all comes down to responsibility, which I must have to stay in school. I am currently attending the University with a full academic scholarship. It is given to all Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher based off your high school grades. It also must be maintained throughout college or it will be disposed of. I am currently majoring in

Mechanical Engineering and have big hopes of soon becoming an engineer. I enjoy working on cars and in fact I have a 67 Chevrolet Camaro that is in the process of being restored. Doing Engine and suspension work on my car is what got me thinking about an engineering degree because I always wondered how the bits and pieces were made and worked so well with the amount of forces being propelled in the motor. I also ride dirtbikes, which are extremely fun. I have always been a "havin fun in the mud" type of guy. I love going off road in either my truck or my dad's jeep. Going through mud just seems fun to me. I recently moved so I unfortunately had to quit my part-time job. I enjoy being self-supportive and working but for my first semester of a new environment in college I decided to take four months off of work. I also enjoy skateboarding, fishing and working out at the gym. I love watching CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Family Guy
. I love listening to music to help me relax.

My work in Progress

I am new to Wikipedia and in the process of creating and uploading new articles. I hope they are all of some use to you. My first article is on Whissenhunt OHV Trails. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I will also be working on improving the article to the best I can. I hope you enjoy. I will soon be uploading more articles in the future after i perfect the one I am currently working on.

Relationship to technology

I am no computer whiz. I actually hate using computers. Although they are of extreme help to the world and most people. I am not the one to enjoy the use of them. I have had multiple problems with computers crashing on me in the middle of a huge paper for school that was due the next day. I learned that you should always save your projects to the hard drive and a removable flash drive just for the reason that your computer may explode and not want to work for you. I am thankful for cell phones aand the way communication has come so far such as text messaging and Facebook. It is very helpful just for the fact that I enjoy keeping in touch with friends.

Philosophy of Wikipedia

I am new to Wikipedia with creating and editing articles, but it has been to great help in my past with research papers, understanding articles and just being curious about something. It is a great place to find a little something about almost anything. It does throw me off how anyone can right something on here and people are expected to trust each article, but as long as it is well cited with valid references it should be valid.

I believe Wikipedia should have paid professionals write articles. It would be more like a modern day encyclopedia. It would also be more credible and less biased. The way it works now it seems to be alright in giving accurate information, and many individuals question a writer's sources, but most issues are resolved.

Languages

I currently am only a fluent speaker of English. I was born and raised in the United States. Although i have taken many Spanish courses throughout my educational career I have not mastered the language just yet.

My Future

I see myself as a work in progress. I am becoming more of who I will be each and everyday. I love my family and hope to be just as successful as them when I am older. I am working on improving my skills. I have been through a lot in my life and it only makes you a stronger person. Observing people that have come and gone from my life is only the start to master myself as moral successful person.
