Oren Seren is a member of an Israeli family of diamond cutters. He is a member of the rough diamond bourse, Antwerpsche Diamantkring (Antwerp, Belgium) and a member of the Israel Diamond Exchange (Ramat Gan, Israel), which is at the center of the Israeli diamond industry and trade.

Oren is the son of Menahem Seren who started in diamonds since 1960 as a diamond cutter and polisher. When his sons decided to join him in the business, they opened an office in 1993. Initially the business was in traditional white goods, but the decision was made to move to fancy color diamonds, which, at the time, was only a developing niche.

In 2008 Oren Seren cut the unnamed heart-shaped diamond, which, according to the records of the GIA Laboratory, the 10.22 carat heart modified brilliant is the largest Fancy Intense Yellow-Green Natural Color they had graded as of October 2008.
