This user opposes the use of ~~esoteric, abstruse and recondite~~ ^big words in Wikipedia articles when simple ones will do.

I'm a British editor, and my first edit was to correct a spelling mistake.

I now sometimes update articles and:

remove italics and the word 'the' when 'the Domesday Book' is referenced, and correct Doomsday to Domesday.
