As a college project I have rewritten the lead to the article "Grey Hat" and added supporting references. I have added references to other sections and added an archived page for a dead link in the examples section.
Finally, I will move the article to "Grey Hat (computer security)" to bring it into conformance with the "White Hat (computer security)" article and will do the same for the "Blue Hat" article when it is updated and complete.
I am presently rewriting the history section of "Grey Hat" to eliminate redundant and unnecessary references, add appropriate references, and provide substantial factual information to satisfy a much higher quality level rating for this article. This will be finished by April 9, 2015.
After that, I will add a section of major events/controversies and a section on the implications of legal restrictions in the United States and hopefully with links to that subject matter in other countries, or it may be more appropriate to add this information to the history section.
Finally, I will write and add a section on the tools used by hackers differentiating among them based on legal and ethical considerations.
I may also write an individual article to fill the void for "Black Hat" and improve the "Blue Hat" article if I can find enough reference material to make this possible.
When all of these sections are written and qualify in form and content for substantially greater quality rating, I will again rewrite the lead of the "grey hat" article to include brief reference to all this new material with appropriate references, and then submit this article for featured article consideration. Perhaps all of the articles within this group could attain such status at some not too distant future date. For my college project to be a success, this is the goal I must achieve!

Returned to School and Wikipedia
I am in the process of completing my Bachelor's in Business Administration so I can begin the MBA graduate program this fall and will be returning to the fun and serious business of editing those articles of interest and contributing to this data base as substantially as possible this year.
