"Be grateful in spite of your suffering."

Dankjewel! Thank you very much! Arigatou gozaimashita!

When learning languages, it's a shift of worldview, a key to connectivity with a new universe of human culture. But it's good to balance the intellect, and enjoyment; the (Pimsleur Language Programs philosophy is the best IMHO). The first thing I learn is to say "hello". Next, I learn to say "thanks". Then I learn how to ask "where is the bathroom?"

Some useful, relevant axioms pertaining to wiki editing and edit conflicts:

  • "Make at least one thing better every single place you go."
  • "If you have to choose, be the one who does things, instead of the one who is seen to do things."
  • "Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you need to know. Listen to them hard enough so that they will share it with you."
