@Just Chilling: @DoRD: I don't like talking on this page because my IP is on a public WiFi (I don't have a private Internet connection right now), but I have no choice since my Talk access is disabled.

I want to know where I stand in my sentence. I have been handed down an indefinite sentence and my terms for rehabilitation are vague. Must I stay away for six months or more? Futhermore, last time we talked you seemed to be trying to coerce a confession about my relationship to user MaisonHorta. Did that renew my sentence? Where do I stand? ~~BaronBifford

The relevant SPI is WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Kurzon/Archive. Consider requesting unblock at User talk:BaronBifford. Your talk access there is still active. EdJohnston (talk) 16:04, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@EdJohnston: My Talk access was revoked in part because I didn't "get the point" quickly enough. I'm afraid to ask. 78.129.111.57 (talk) 16:33, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If it's true that you were still creating socks this past August (as stated in the SPI) your chances don't appear good. Making a full admission of your past accounts might help. EdJohnston (talk) 16:42, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@EdJohnston: That's beside the point. What I want is some clarity on my status. The information I've been getting is vague. It's always been like that. I created the BaronBifford sock because my Kurzon handle was banned for reasons I didn't quite understand, and it wasn't clear when and what I should do to get rehabilitated. 78.129.111.57 (talk) 16:58, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Reading through WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Kurzon/Archive should give you a clear enough idea of why you were blocked. I don't know whether the blocking admins would consider a WP:Standard offer, but if so, that would let you apply for unblock six months after your last socking, which was August 20. So you could appeal again after February 20. 17:23, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
@EdJohnston: That's more like it. 78.129.111.57 (talk) 17:27, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@EdJohnston: Question: why wasn't I given a page-specific block instead of a site-wide block? Like, I should have been blocked from editing the Superman, which is where all my misbehavior was centered. With a page-specific ban, I could have continued making contributions in other parts of Wikipedia, where I would not run into the editors I upset. After all, I'm allowed to contribute to non-English Wikipedias because they're considered "separate projects". How about you let me back on Wikipedia, but you block me specifically from editing the Superman article, or even comic book articles in general? I'm not a vandal. I behaved badly, yes, but it was motivated by an earnest desire to improve Wikipedia in the face of people who did not agree with my vision. That makes me different from the typical troll. --BaronBifford

The reviewing admins should take note of your post at User talk:BaronBifford#EdJohnston. I still predict you will get a better hearing if you wait six months from the last time you socked, which means waiting until February 20 to file your request. Note the irony that you are here asking for unblock *using an IP*, which the checkusers might interpret as evasion of the block on your regular account. Better stick to your BaronBifford talk page.
