About editing Sequoia sempervirens in particular ---

  1. When I used "controversial" in my edit summary, I meant controversial within Wikipedia --- one of the core tenets of Wikipedia is
    verifiability. You may wish to read the essay here: Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth

  2. I was hoping that multiple editors could come to a consensus about whether the Gymnosperm Database is a reliable source, and hence quote the numbers from there. I gave some supporting evidence at Talk:Grogan's Fault
