Good work on the

Directional Drilling article. I just finished going through it and making some minor changes and inserting wiki links. I'll also be adding it to the "See Also" parts of a couple of articles so that this page is no longer orphaned *Kat*

Railways

Hi, A Karley! May I ask to please be more elaborate when you make edits like this one? While I understand what you are trying to say, it should be noted that the rest of the article makes no mention of anything railway-related. Readers are thus left at a loss as to what railway line you are referring to, and relating to what the line is "up and down". If you could re-work those additions into a few full sentences, they would be a lot more beneficial. Please let me know if you have questions. British Go Association page

The page you have created for the British Go Association is much too long and not in the style of a Wikipedia article. Sensei's library (http://senseis.xmp.net/) is a go wiki that is more suitable for this sort of page.

Hello. Back at the end of April, you created an article on

original research. Are you intending to carry on working on this page in the near future, with the aim of turning it into a proper wikipedia article? If not, I will be nominating it for deletion/moving to userspace in the next few days. Thanks. Mike Peel 21:41, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ClockworkOrange-040-sm.png)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media
).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rock density

Thanks for yout input on density on the megalith page. On a minor point though it appears to be done more in the style of a disscussion board than an encyclopedia. It might be better if it was rewriten a little. I might do it myself but if you would prefer to do it that would be fine. Good day Zacherystaylor (talk) 14:33, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trying to save my book

It looks as if I can't save my book, perhaps because I don't have a "Books" folder in my userspace. So I'll link to the non-existent page here and see if I can create it that way? [MyBooks]

Nope that didn't work. Oh well, work to do.

I think I see what the problem is: you forgot the "wiki" between "wikipedia.org" and "User:A_Karley". Try this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:A_Karley/Books
Or better yet: User:A_Karley/Books
Cheers!

  • Well that seemed to work, but I can't remember now what I was trying to do with "Books". Thanks for the help anyway.
No problem. I guess I should have looked at when you had posted that... :/ –

Plagiarism of Directional Drilling article

Hi Karley. I just came across this page, which has content virtually 100% identical to this edit of yours. Could you please comment? Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 14:49, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Correia. That looks as if someone took my edit of 2004, applied minor edits, and posted it without attribution to this other page in 2007. I see that the copying site is advertising "Free Energy" solutions, which is a red flag for fruitloopery. You'll note, for example, that the comment on the Wikipedia page about "this author having worked for Sperry ; other corporations may tell other lies about their history" has been omitted. Obviously too complex for the Free Energy people.

I'm trying to remember what I was doing in 2004 that prompted me writing that. I was still doing long-reach horizontal wells routinely (I've moved onto more wildcatting exploration work since ; almost always vertical wells). I'll guess that I was offshore and bored.

Thanks Karley. And thanks for adding a subject line - don't know why I left it out. Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 09:56, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on

section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify
their content.
