Welcome! Only after the truth, was never anything more. Wiki is supposed to be for everyone, it was never my intent to upset you. You just instantly labeled me as a vandal so we didn't get off on a good start. I realized later you made most of the changes so maybe you felt like it was your baby and that is what got you upset. However, it really did look like an ad to me when I first read it. Like someone from corporate, someone for marketing or someone from the school trying to sell it. Even your responses at the beginning seemed to not focus on neutrality but more of protecting the school. The biggest one for me was when you tried to argue that the school was unrelated to what it was doing chain wide. Or a historic landmark legal case that you just seemed to want to poo-poo or shove to the back of the bus. That is what a marketing person would do, play down all the negatives, reword them as minor and go on and on about the positives. The student restaurant was another example. I didn't care if the restaurant was there, its part of the school. However elaborate detail about location, reservations when it is literally at the front door of the school smells like an ad. I don't fault them for wanting to advertise their restaurant, I think its a good thing just not on Wiki.
Basically, your arguments came across as trying to paint the school as a small private art college which is really is not. It is the second largest chain in the country. It's backed by billions of dollars with its own stock market letter (EDMC) and partially controlled by investment banks. It's not the same as a Cal Arts, Art Center or RISD which literally one have one main campus. There is nothing wrong with being a big chain, but is looked like the article was trying to sell the school as something it was not, which I feel was misleading. You cant have national TV adds for AI then claim your a small school and have almost nothing to do with corporate.
I think what is up there now is fair. I will keep an eye on it as I am sure you will too. Hope we have come to an agreement until someone else comes along and then who knows.--HoytMan (talk) 19:14, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
