Talk among people, not robots
Cobi, I am in total agreement with your statements about not wanting to participate in the discussion about gender bias if such participation is not part of the solution. I am very new to Wikipedia and I have not made many edits although I have spent countless hours reading circular tutorials and policy rules and statements in an effort to develop some feeling that I knew what the heck I was trying to do.
I strongly believe that systemic changes are needed in order to support all editors. If all groups are solicited and all participants are "held by the hand" while they are getting started as an editor, I think that would go a long way towards building relationships and decreasing the phenomenon of disappearing editors.
I see what you mean about the 'the' and the page that you posted gave me a good laugh.
Regards,
Thanks, I'm glad you got a laugh out of it :) I have no idea how to use my talk page effectively, as you can probably tell. Alixos (talk) 10:14, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi! I'm not particularly "active" these days - I've only just noticed Wikipedia:Meetup/Adelaide/Meetup 17 and thus am sorry to discover I missed it. I'd be interested to know what happened. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:22, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Greetings. I noticed your new article,
Nomination of Ancestral domain for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ancestral domain is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ancestral domain until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:19, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.
I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:
- dates
- years
- commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
- common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).
This even applies for infoboxes.
Thanks and my best wishes.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
