Thank you for your invitation but, as you can see, I rarely contribute text, so listing myself as a participant in any wikiproject would be more like adding a
manpower. I would like to help but I have more important (real-life) duties. --Alvin-cs 21:27, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply

Wikics template

Hi Alvin! I've just created a new template to indicate English Wikipedia users who also contribute to the Czech Wikipedia.

Template:User wikics

Feel free to add it to your userboxes if you like it (and if you actually contribute). Happy Easter. Daniel Šebesta (talkcontribs) 13:00, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, thanks. I doubt in usefulness of this template. --Alvin-cs 12:27, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, just wanted to inform you. Btw, there're similar templates for the German-language and French-language Wikipedias and many others. Daniel Šebesta (talkcontribs) 12:31, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About your vote on the QRVS

(The article in question is Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:General Eisenhower/QRVS)--Alvin-cs 20:28, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Alvin, this is nothing against you please assume good faith, your vote comment doesn't seem very appropriate to me (I bolded the part I feel could be reworded a little)

Duplicate of existing effort. The page looks like result of teenager-like group/gang forming tendency. Sorry kids, you cant have your own page (without justufucation), wikipedia is not anarchy (well, neither democracy)

The first part is ok...put calling all members of the QRVS teenagers (or being like teenagers) could start an issue with people (you see I'm not a teenager, and it kind of struck a nerve with me, only kind of). I would be more careful in the future. Just a quick thought. Hope you have a nice day Aeon 19:08, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As I think about it now... yes, you are right, it may sound insulting. Oh no, it sounds isulting. After all I do not know anything about these people. I could not resist to mention the teen way QRVS represents itself; it is the style of websites that serve as group identification (focusing on on words like member, team, leader and displaing some form of ranking near participants name) rather than for activity declared. This makes me I belive (and I wanted to point at) QRVS would not be as effective/active as Counter-Vandalism Unit at best and propably not functional.
I would reword the part to not use words kids and teenager-like, but then your comment would not make any sence. I do want to see people's personal statements to be removed, especially when they are on voting page and especially when they are words of criticism. So I am leaving it there, unless you would agree to delete your comment after my corerction is done. --Alvin-cs 20:25, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds cool to me I have deleted my comment. lol yep thanks just tring to save you an issue or two. Aeon 03:58, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ehm, the debate has closed before I get to correct my statement. As one could see from my contributions, I am far from being a daily contributor. Yes, I should have known the delay for this kind of deletion and guess the closing time. In future I suggest that cases like mine should one should first delete the offending statement.--Alvin-cs 20:45, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Its no big thing. Oh well Aeon 15:38, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
