If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{

Thanks for contacting me. I came across this bio article because of its addition to the list of notable alumni in the University of North Dakota article. The Smith bio seemed very short and one section ("See also") was even empty. The biography template you mentioned is a sample layout" and all bios need not necessarily adhere to it fully. Feel free to revert the page back to your previous version if you desire. Personally, I would rather see the article expanded before we break it up into so many sections. One more comment. You say "it will grow and the areas would be filled in". That isn't really how Wikipedia articles should be developed. Section breaks really shouldn't be added until more information is also added and individual sections are warranted. An article's development should be organic in nature and blank or very small sections shouldn't be added with the expectation that they will "fill in". --MatthewUND^(talk) 23:54, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project News The three-month long Summer Assessment Drive, organized by Psychless, was a huge success! It ran from June 1 – September 1 , and reduced the backlog of unassessed articles from 113,385 to 56,237. In all, over 100,000 articles were assessed. Over 60 people contributed in some way. A barnstar has been created for exceptional work on Wikipedia biographies and for assisting the project. The Biography Barnstar is listed with the other WikiProject awards and can be awarded easily with a template. See the template page for more details. I'm writing you to see if you're interested in joining the

Online Ambassador. Our program is growing, but we want to make sure students still get the support new users need when they begin editing Wikipedia. I've been speaking to a few professors at Georgetown who are interested in joining for Fall 2012, but they will need an Online Ambassador. In this role, experienced editors essentially contact students with editing tips, respond to questions they may have, and even monitor student contributions to provide feedback.
