Rocket from the Crypt

Hi. I wanted to discuss the disagreement we're having about the Rocket from the Crypt infobox. We generally do not consider it a "year active" if a band only did a one-off reunion or performance. For example, Big Black did a one-off reunion in 2006 to perform 3 songs; we do not count this as a "year active". Hot Snakes had a one-off onstage reunion in 2010, performing 3 songs; this is not considered a year of activity. Jawbreaker briefly reunited in-studio in in 2007, performing 3 songs; this is not considered a year of activity. Rocket from the Crypt had a one-off reunion, performing a single song for a television show; this does not constitute a year of activity. Adding that year to the infobox gives the false impression that the band was active (writing, recording, releasing records, touring) during that year, when in fact they only made a single appearance. Since the full reunion is scheduled for 2013, that will the year to add, but only once it actually takes place.

Regarding your edit summary: "Look at the GNR page: that doesn't say '1985-1994, 2008-present'." That is because

Wikiproject Musicians
and am very familiar with all the policies, guidelines, and best practices relevant to articles about musicians. If I've reverted others' edits on the article, there's been a good reason for my doing so (and you will usually find the reason stated in my edit summary). Looking at the number of times you've edited Wikipedia (71 total), maybe you should trust my expertise on the matter.

I would be happy to discuss this further with you at Talk:Rocket from the Crypt if you wish. Just start a new section on that talk page. --IllaZilla (talk) 22:11, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, my reversion of your edits here and here is not personal. You've made an assertion that isn't supported by a reference, and per

WP:BURDEN the onus is on you to provide one, not to resubmit the content unsourced. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:01, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply
