Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello Bf0325! Your additions to

suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism
issues.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:03, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly I do not know whether I should say thank you or not, but unless you can enforce all your points onto ALL users, otherwise I can only see your suggestions are not very enforceable. I do agree that if I need to quote, it has to be with quotation marks, but unfortunately, even I do cite with quotation, later on another user may edit it and now the quotation is without quotation marks, and if I were to do what you suggest to just maintain that, then I need to monitor the page permanently---If you were me, do you have 24/7/365 to do so on EVERY page?
I do not use copyrighted images, but you'd better talk to someone else---The only time I did something to an image was I removed one, and that's because the factual error was so obvious that the picture was taken from a place actually under Russian control and simply not closer to one of the cities Ukraine just recaptured.
I'd try my best and strive to do what I can to edit and polish the entries and do a better job on citing quotations and paraphrasing, and definitely I won't plagiarize(but I won't be able to control what other users are doing, otherwise I may have to do a lot of those "undos" or even permanently monitor the pages), but unless you can define how small was that "small" amount, otherwise your suggestion is still not enforceable, and this is unfair to literally the majority of contributors.
