Please also update the corresponding reference when updating the data. This edit made other people difficult to find the original data, though it appears to be correct. Thanks.--E8xE8 (talk) 15:29, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I would like know where did you retrieve the latest GDP data, just to make sure that everything is correct Hongkonger100 (talk) 02:03, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Per capita GDP of Pakistan

The source of world bank in the article has data upto 2014 for every country (see at the top of table); it hasn't released 2015 data (although there is an estimate). The entire list is based on data mentioned in the link at the top (the 2014 data); therefore you can't include 2015 estimate. Vibhss (talk) 22:06, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an estimate dude...the World Bank has already released the total GDP and mid-year population for every country for the year 2015. Therefore, the only thing you need to do is importing these data and get excel to calculate the GDP per capita figure for you automatically...It's the actual figure and not an estimate.

Please see the source of world bank on the page. All countries have latest figures of 2014 and not 2015. The list is entirely based on 2014 figures. And as I said earlier, figures for 2015 are just estimates. World bank's source mentions 2014 figures as latest figures. You can check yourself figures of any country from the source at the top of World Bank Table on which the list is based. I know there is also a 2015 figure for Pakistan's GDP but we have to go by the source, only the value mentioned in the current source can be taken as current value. If you can update the whole list with updated sources, then you are most welcome. Otherwise, how can a 2015 figure be included among 2014 figures.Vibhss (talk) 22:20, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Before reverting my edits, just have a look at the figures in the source (which mentions 2014 figures as latest) and compare them with those in the list. You will get that the list is based on those 2014 figures.Vibhss (talk) 22:23, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just have a look at the source man

You again reverted my edits. Do you know anything about edit war ? I have placed figures for Pakistan in accordance with the source and you are violating the source by changing those figures. You can be blocked by administrators for your tactics. Why don't you just have a look at the source ? Vibhss (talk) 22:28, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am focussing on Pakistan because you are inserting figures of 2015 while all other countries have 2014 figures. Just check it out. If you update figure of Pakistan, you will have to update the whole list and you can't do that without a source. Simply speaking, you will have to change the source. Therefore the list must be kept as it is until and unless WB update 2015 figures on its site. I hope you now understand what I am saying. Vibhss (talk) 22:33, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rechecked

Many entries (those which I checked) disagree with the figures mentioned in the source. In that respect you are absolutely right. But I have a doubt regarding the figures to be of 2015. For example, Brazil's GDP figures in list are given as USD 8,538 but WB site mentions 2014 GDP of Brazil as USD 11,726. Isn't that puzzling ? How is such a steep decrease possible in a country like Brazil whose GDP is progressively increasing. Likewise, you can check for United Kingdom. Its 2014 per capita GDP according to WB site is 46,297 while, in the cueent list, it is mentioned as 42,711. This list is probably wrong or based on old data. There is no indication that these figures are of 2015. Check yourself for other countries. This list needs correct source and correct figures. The current figures in the list (those which disagree with the 2014 figures in WB site) are sourceless and unreliable. Please have a check yourself. Vibhss (talk) 22:52, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your message

Yes, whatever you said about Luxembourg figures is absolutely right, though very puzzling. How every country's GDP can show such a steep decline ? That's the confusion. Vibhss (talk) 22:55, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What about every other country which is showing decrease in GDP ? Are all of them on the verge of decline ? See that of UK and check others too. Besides, without source, how can you claim those figures of GDP are of 2015 and correct ? If you find a good source, then it must be updated in that article. Vibhss (talk) 23:07, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I got your viewpoint. But still that list needs a good source which agrees with all figures in the list. Without a proper source, the figures are not reliable. Without a source, those figures can't remain in the list. Without a source, how those figures can be taken as of 2015 ? Currently, that list has figures which are conflicting with figures mentioned in the source. The updating of source of list is damn necessary. It is affecting the article's Verifiability adversely. If you find a source, then kindly update it. Vibhss (talk) 23:25, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
