Max Bygraves

Please don't insert unsourced material into a Wikipedia article as you did in the Max Bygraves article. The material was removed for the very good reason that it was unsourced and had been tagged for 2 years as lacking sourcing. I reverted your edit. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:46, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, though I see a good bit of the material was actually sourced in the linked websites in the article. Claidheamhmor (talk) 06:45, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure which linked websites you mean. IMDb is not a reliable source. And his own website can only be used for limited things. See

My edit on "Heidi"

I see belatedly that you reverted my edit concerning usage. "Racked with guilt" is truly the correct form. Of course it doesn't mean physically tortured; it uses the rack as a metaphor. "Wracked" means (and is a variant of) "wrecked." Please consult a usage manual, which will give a better explanation than most dictionaries. With several decades of experience editing books and other publications, I can be trusted on this one. Cognita (talk) 04:34, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that, I learnt something new. I see the two words can be used interchangeably (according to Oxford Online and many other sources), but "racked" is the earlier form, and more common. I grew up using "wracked", but will adjust my own usage accordingly.
