Unnecessary ALL-CAPS

I have noticed that you made certain phrases in articles such as Austrian World Summit ALL-CAPS for no good reason. It's clear that you are enthusiastic about topics related to Earth's climate, but please refrain from making such edits. I know that your edits are in good faith, though. for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

As writing in capital letters seems to be your thing, I hope this heading might grab your attention. You must, MUST read the conflict of interest guidance and act upon it. If you make another COI edit, I will take this to the

conflict of interest noticeboard for resolution where you will be at risk of being blocked from editing. Please stop, consider, and respond according to Wikipedia's rules. You may well be writing about an excellent organisation fighting for the survival of the planet, but you still need to abide by the rules. If you want the organisation that employs you to have a valid Wikipedia presence, that you need to become a Wikipedian and not an editor who tramples over the rules to get their way. As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:ClimateActionHero, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=ClimateActionHero|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. --- Possibly (talk) 15:36, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

Wikipedia does not accept the type of promotion you are attempting. I would advise that you disclose your paid editing (see

WP:COI. Accounts that continue to use Wikipedia for promotion usually quickly lose their ability to edit Wikipedia.--- Possibly (talk) 15:39, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply

Dear Ladys and Gentleman, I would like to apologize if my behavior in the last week was not appropriated. I have to admit that I thought the editing of the article would be easy and fast and I did not use all the requirements. I will try to explain you my motivations and would be helpful for your support. The article that I try to edit, is from the company that I work for (the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative-SCI). Since the Austrian World Summit is not organised by R20 Regions anymore but by the SCI, I have updated the page of the Austrian World Summit last month already. Since my draft for a SCI page has been declined, I wanted to add the additional information to the page of the Austrian World Summit so that everthing is seen on one article only. These information update was necessary to avoid any confusion around the initiative. Therefore I have following questions:

− Since I make the editing for my company, do I fall into the category "paid contributor"? (I´m not getting paid specifically for this editing). If yes what should I write it under this form

 ?

− Are their specific parts of the my last article draft for the Austrian World Summit that are a conflict of Interest or not seen as unbiased? Please let me know, then I could edit those parts. We want to inform people, our iniative does not want use Wikipedia for promotion or to make money (we´re a non profit organisation).

- Is it possible that I change the title of the Article from Austrian World Summit to Schwarzengger Climate Initiative or at least that when people type the name of the initiative they´re linked directly to the page?

I´m eagerly waiting for your answer. Kind regards.ClimateActionHero (talk) 09:52, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The template given above looks fine and should be placed on your user page. Please read
WP:COI. You will see there that you should not be editing either of the two articles but only making suggestions or proposals on the article talk pages. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   10:08, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply

The above template is not for user pages; I fixed what you had on your user page, so you are good in terms of disclosure. --- Possibly (talk) 20:17, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I made an edit request for the wikipedia page of the Austrian World Summit 10 days ago. I wanted to ask how long it will take so that the changes can be edited. Especially it´s very important that the information on who the organiser is (the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative and not the R20 Regions), can be replaced as soon as possible since we need to avoid any misunderstaning from the audience, speakers or journalist. I hope you understand this situation. Kind regards, ClimateActionHero (talk) 15:32, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the answer. I just have another question: I have made an edit on the Austrian World Summit page before on February 2nd, that seemed to have been accepted by wikipedia because their were no message against it for a month until I made further edits. I wanted to know if at least this version of the Austrian World Summit wikipedia page could be online until the current edit request has been reviewed. Because on the version of February 2nd, there was at least the new name on it. Kind regards,ClimateActionHero (talk) 08:16, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

German Wikipedia

Guten Tag. I noticed that you have also made similar edits on German Wikipedia. Compliance is also required with German Wikipedia's rules regarding paid editing and conflict of interest, so I have left appropriate links on your user talk page there: de:Benutzer Diskussion:ClimateActionHero.
