speedy deletion tag from Dr.Uthum Herat, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 01:04, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply

User accounts

Hi Colomboheat, is the following user accounts yours?

Per Wikipedia:Username policy, a wikipedian should only use one account. If you contact an admin, they might help you out with the matter. Drop me a note if you're having problems. Cheers--Chanaka L (talk) 06:30, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I contacted Admin User:PeterSymonds, he might help. Meantime can you recall all the accounts you have previous used. I believe,
are your accounts. I found them in edit histories of Radio Ceylon and Vernon Corea.--Chanaka L (talk) 10:44, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid, it can't be done. However you can create redirects to the current user name, then post a note there saying, "I have previously edited under these names ...". Hope that'll help. Cheers--Chanaka L (talk) 13:29, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to

talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:10, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply

Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka

Dear Colomboheat,

Thank you for your contributions to the Wikimedia Projects. As an editor from Sri Lanka, you are warmly invited to join the official Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka and to subscribe to its mailing list, Wikimedia-LK.

The user group currently includes volunteers from Wikipedia and other projects, from the English, Sinhala, and Tamil speaking communities. It is the Wikimedia-approved platform for editors from Sri Lanka to enable wider collaboration, for both online and offline projects.

With your support, we hope to organize cross-project content improvement drives as part of online projects, as well as organize in-person edit-a-thons, training sessions, photowalks, and other such activities, in the near future. The ultimate goal(s) of these initiatives is to improve the overall coverage and quality of topics relating to Sri Lanka, as well as encourage new editors to join the Wikimedia community, while simultaneously empowering and retaining our existing team of editors.

There are no mandatory obligations for members who choose join the community, other than the usual editing rules for online projects, and the friendly space policy for in-person projects. You may also (or instead) subscribe to the mailing list, where any member could initiate discussions with volunteers across projects, notify members of events and meetings, stay up to date with competitions, organize your own events, and so on.

See you on board, and Happy Editing!

Notice

The article Maha Nuge Gardens has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is just a posh, upper class residential lane, barely a neighborhood of Kollupitiya, Colombo. Fails WP:GNG. Google search yields no significant results.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
