File permission problem with File:Bernar Venet's Catalogue.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Bernar Venet's Catalogue.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Replaceable fair use File:Verdier Painting.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Verdier Painting.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to
    di-replaceable fair use disputed
}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 06:03, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on

section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Disambiguation link notification for May 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Orphaned non-free media (File:Fabienne Verdier's solo exhibition.jpg)

Thanks for uploading

You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media
).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. The article Dane Patterson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient notability for
WP:Artist

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard

A tag has been placed on

section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.artpluralgallery.com/catalogue/doc_exhibitions/a34/Press-Release-Excess-Art-Plural-Gallery.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Welcome!

Hi Cornelia. Another editor, Justlettersandnumbers, and I were discussing your edits at one of Wikipedia's noticeboards.[1] Wikipedia main purpose is to expand our articles and it is nice to see that your desire to contribute to that. However, along with expanding our articles, we have many policies and guidelines that help editors expand the articles in a way that meets a variety of goals, needs, concerns, etc. The one Justlettersandnumbers and I were discussing is called Conflict of Interest. In short, if you work for the Art Plural Gallery or otherwise have a connection to the gallery as described here, then you may need to comply with Wikipedia:Conflict of interest in your editing of the Art Plural Gallery article. Your talk page shows a variety of notices regarding article creation, text copyright issues, and photograph copyright issues. I would be happy to explain these to you so that, instead of spending time preparing things to put into Wikipedia that someone else deletes, you can focus your efforts on things that do not raise such issues. Feel free to post a note on my talk page at User talk:Jreferee. Take care, Jreferee (talk) 14:00, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was given permission to use the photos, but I am not very good with uploading the photos and attributing them as it is confusing for me.

Decline reason:

In all honesty, that isn't convincing reason to be unblocked. I suggest that during the time you're blocked, you read and try to understand Wikipedia's image policies. When you fully understand all of the image policies, then you could make a new unblock appeal. PhilKnight (talk) 05:37, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
