guide to writing your first article
.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria

for companies
. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Corraled entertainment, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see

our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 22:07, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

Request reason:

I don't have an agenda and I will stop trying to create a page, but I DO work at KSWO and there are things that aren't correct on that page and I was trying to correct them. What more can I do to get unblocked? I haven't erroneously changed anything on an existing page and I would never edit a page in a malicious manner! What more do I have to do to be able to edit pages that have wrong or out of date information? And I will NOT change my user name because it is a representation of me. Yes, it might seem like a company, but i made the "company", I'm the only person IN the "company" and the "company" is ran out of my house from my personal computer.

Decline reason:

Your "company" is managed out of your residence, and after reviewing the deleted contributions, I find that it is still...

conflict of interest, especially in regards to your history of contributions and your username, I am not unblocking. seicer | talk | contribs 12:35, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply

Please do not use {{
helpme}} for this. An admin will be along presently to review your unblock request. Sit tight until then. I would also suggest that you remove one of the unreviewed requests, as it could be viewed as abused of the unblock system. //roux   07:54, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply

I'm not an admin, but word of advice: saying you will not change your username, when it is in violation of our
username policy, pretty much guarantees you will not be unblocked. //roux   08:09, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply

hmmm...I find that kind of funny because there was no problem with my name when I first signed up for and account or even when I made some edits in the past (which weren't malicious). I always thought that wikipedia was a place for the people by the people not for the people if the editors happen to like what you do/say...if you ask me, this is all a bunch of b/s! I don't mind that my "Corraled Entertainment" wiki page got deleted, but then to have an editor come in on his effin' high horse and try to say that I'm a spammer or that my user name makes it seem like I am part of a corporation and would use my editing privileges in a manner that violates the "terms of use" is a load of b/s! and if I get denied, I'm just going to create a new user name from a different computer so they might as well unblock me so this can all be resolved nice and peaceful like.
