Hi Cronholm144, thanks for helping out the MathCOTW. As I'm sure you've noticed I've been slacking in regards to keeping things up to date and probably won't be able to spend much time on it for the near future (grad school). I'm glad to have done my part for a while, but if you or anyone else wants to step up to the plate and baby it for a while, I'd be more than happy to let someone else take charge!

thanks for the invitation to the math collaboration. I will be traveling for two months starting next week, and will have limited net connectivity. Also I guess I have slowly drifted away from editing math articles, it is too close to my heart and that makes it too stressful. Anyway, I wish you good luck with your project! Hello, thanks for the invitation to participate in the Collaboration project. I would like to nominate the article Geometry, which we fought tooth and nail to protect from vandalizing hordes, for mere two weeks (less time remaining now). It is number four on Oleg's list of most linked math articles, after only Mathematics, Mathematician, and Real number, but, sadly, it's way behind in development relative to the overwhelming majority of basic articles. Hi Cronholm. I don't think I can respond to your last question with just edits, so I thought I'll respond with a message this time. Whether Haytham was Arab or Persian is a matter of dispute, so I left it as Iraqi, which is more neutral because it is a geographic region rather than an ethnicity. The two Indian sections cover two different time periods and two different areas within calculus (differentiation and analysis). However, I agree that a nation by nation feel might be better in some ways for a more organized look. Alternatively, we could merge the different cultures together into three paragraphs on the ancient, medieval and modern periods instead. Either way is fine with me. I haven't got a great deal of time for WP, and what time I have I want to focus on the logic page, so I doubt I'll be doing much in the way of maths FA gnomery. I must confess to being semi-literate in German: my spoken German is pretty solid, but I'm a very slow reader of German. I have done some work in the past trying to bring across some content from de.$WP to here (Wilhelm von Humboldt & trying to counter some neo-nazi POV pushing here), but I've found the work pretty unrewarding.
